The Halifax Highland Games & Scottish Festival is recruiting volunteers for a number of positions. Do you want to be an active member of our team? Do you enjoy networking with people, like to develop new skills, want to gain work experience, and make a difference in your community?

Our areas of need for volunteers are:

Friday, July 11th

  • Field Setup
    • Setting up chairs, tables, barricades, etc. (starting at 9 am)

Saturday, July 12th

  • Completion of Field Setup
    • Making sure field is ready for competitors & public (starting at 7 am)
  • Parking Lot Control
    • Restricting access to certain areas of lot
  • Grounds Maintenance
    • Changing garbage & recycling bags, restocking toilet paper, etc.
  • Volunteer Support
    • Running of needed supplies to various volunteers
  • Information Table
    • Handling inquiries from competitors and visitors
  • Hospitality
    • Food & beverage service - must be 19 years of age
  • Field Teardown
    • Stacking chairs, tables, gathering barricades, dismantling tents, removing signs, cleaning garbage from field, etc. (from 6 to 9 pm)
